Labour 20 (L20)
The G20 acknowledges the importance of strong employment to the health of the global economy, and jobs occupy a central place on the G20’s agenda to reflect this. The L20, which brings together leaders of international organised labour, provides G20 leaders with the perspectives of workers across the world.
The L20 is organised each year by the International Trade Union Confederation and the Trade Union Advisory Council of the OECD, working with organised labour in the host country. Ms Gerardine (Ged) Kearney, President of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, chairs the Australian L20 Steering Group.
The L20’s major summit will be held in November in Brisbane prior to the G20 Leaders’ Summit.
Further information about the L20 is available at their official website.
Please note: The L20 is an independent group. The Australian Government and/or G20 do not control or necessarily endorse the material on the linked L20 website.
