Civil Society 20 (C20)
The benefits of economic growth must reach everyone, particularly the most disadvantaged in our community. To deliver strong, sustainable and balanced growth, it is important that G20 deliberations are informed by the expertise and knowledge of civil society. The C20 leads engagement with the G20 on behalf of international civil society.
The C20 summit was held in Melbourne on 19-21 June, and was attended by Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and Minister for Social Services Kevin Andrews. Delegates presented the C20 communique to Prime Minister Tony Abbott following the summit.
The C20 this year has been organised by the Australian C20 Steering Committee, chaired by the Reverend Tim Costello AO.
Further information about the C20 is available at their official website.
Please note: The C20 is an independent group. The Australian Government and/or G20 do not control or necessarily endorse the material on the linked C20 website.
