Australia’s hosting of the G20 in 2014 is an opportunity to showcase Australia as a world-class destination for business, education and tourism.
Our host year is not about a single event, rather a series of policy meetings that build on each other to reach consensus on key actions at the Brisbane Leaders' Summit on 15 and 16 November 2014. This includes meetings of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors, Sherpas, Finance and Central Bank Deputies, and subject-specific working groups. Meetings are being held in Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Sydney, Uluru, Cairns, Melbourne and will culminate in the most important meeting during Australia’s host year – the Brisbane Leaders' Summit. With G20 attendees visiting each of these destinations, these centres will all have the chance to showcase their unique corner of Australia.
